Boston

Representational of an abusive marriage. The world is brick and gray, stiff and repressed. A veneer of “ordered” coats the chaos of domestic violence. Created in Wilmington, NC.

Bus Terminal

A glimpse of freedom comes one rainy night in a Boston Coach America bus terminal.

Dance

The crowds become even more difficult as he is forced to enter the town’s “festival and community dance” (events wholly created by the Art Department).

Festival

The bad guy makes his way through stands of food vendors, petting zoos and craftsmen, only to wind up at the Community Dance where, finally, he finds his prey, dancing with another man.

General Store

The project was to build a small-town general store that has been there for at least 50 years. To make this “character,” and then to burn it to the ground.

Burn

The General Store is named, designed, sited, built, painted, dressed and shot and...then it’s burned to the ground.

Ivan's Restaurant

Create a beloved community restaurant – Ivan’s Fish Shack – on a pier where the Cape Fear River meets the Intracoastal Waterway.

Katie's Cottage

Katie puts down her first roots in a dilapidated cottage in the middle of the woods.

A cottage that’s been there for decades created in a couple months.

Parade

The challenge: create a Fourth of July celebration in Southport, NC.

The bad guy arrives in town on July 4th, where his car is immediately stopped by parade preparations.

PARADE BEGINS

He sets off on foot and in a drunken haze, searches for his prey, battling his way through the celebratory crowds.
